Christoph Ingenhoven - Ingenhoven ArchitectsSince 1985, when he started as an architect, Christoph Ingenhoven (1960) has found it natural to combine his architecture with sustainable development. That was and remains his architectural approach: sophisticated, transparent and human buildings that are technically interesting and energy efficient.
1 Bligh – Sydney (2006-2011)This fully-glazed tower is equipped with a double-skin façade and ventilated by an atrium that rises the building’s entire height. The building will be the first high-rise tower to receive the highest 6 Star certificate of the Australian Green Star environmental rating system.
Stuttgart station (2008- work in progress) Reinforcing the relationship of the building with its immediate environment, the completely underground station and rail tracks make it possible to free up land for building. Natural ventilation is achieved through underground tunnels and openings in the form of an eye that also provide optimised natural lighting. The building’s energy consumption is almost zero.
European Investment Bank – Luxembourg This long building is characterised by its total transparency. The glass envelope is crowned by a slightly incurved glass roof, under which you can make out the W shape of the plan.
