Curriculum and Learning Tools

The Autodesk BIM Workshop was created for AEC students and has learning material, video tutorials, and exercises designed to educate on BIM and sustainable design practices.

The Autodesk Sustainability Workshop features videos, tutorials, and hands-on exercises for architectural design students, covering topics like passive heating and cooling, efficient HVAC design, lighting, and daylighting. Using free educational materials, students learn to apply BIM and sustainability practices to real-world design

Archi-World® Academy Awards 2011-2013: Special Autodesk® Prize

Autodesk is honored to sponsor a special Archi-World award for students who design their project using Autodesk software. To be eligible for a chance to win one of these awards, students must:

Include the name, email address, and phone number of the entrant

Use Autodesk software to create their designs

List the names of the software used with their submission

Entries must be submitted electronically to the official entry website

Entries must be received no later than the end date of October 30, 2012, 24.00h.

Submissions must be created using at least one Autodesk software product of your choice.

Autodesk Sustainable Design Prize  

Submissions must be created using at least two of the following Autodesk software:
Autodesk® Project Vasari
Autodesk® Ecotect® Analysis
Autodesk® 3ds Max® Design

For this category, the participant must include a 150 word essay describing the structure, highlighting the sustainable components, and how the space will be used.

 
Autodesk Free Form Prize  

Submissions must be created using at least two of the following Autodesk software:
Autodesk® Project Vasari
Autodesk® Revit® Architecture
Autodesk® Maya®
Autodesk® 3ds Max® Design
Autodesk® Alias® Design

 

Prizes
Winners of each of the categories above will receive the following Autodesk-donated prizes from Archi-World:

Judging
A committee of industry experts selected by Archi-World will judge all eligible submissions. In round one, they will select 36 projects (12 in each category) that meet the contest criteria and stand out among the rest. In round two, those students will be invited by Archi-World to deliver their native program files for a thorough review and scoring by the judges.
